Prior to use, verify the product arrived in good condition.
USB cable type: USB Type C
1) Download the latest release of the PI Service Terminal by clicking on THIS LINK.
In case you do not know how to install it, you may find THIS GUIDE useful.2) Open the PI Service Terminal.
3) Plug in the USB cable.
4) Switch on your METOS 5.
5) In the PI Service Terminal, click on 'Connect'.
6) Wait until 'Press H for help' shows up and press 'H':
Press H for help.
This process requires a few seconds while the station checks the sensors and confirms the modem's functionality, after which it initiates the GPS scan. To abort the GPS scan, just press the 'ESC' key. If nothing shows up on the screen, hit 'SPACE'. If nothing occurs, check the USB cable and switch the station OFF and ON.
8) Press 'P' for 'P - Setup modem parameters':

9) Configure the APN with the options '3 - APN NAME', '4 - APN LOGIN' and '5 - APN PASSWORD':
3 - APN NAME -> None 4 - APN LOGIN -> None 5 - APN PASSWORD -> None
Typically, configuring the APN is only necessary for 2G networks, not for NB or CAT-M networks and certain networks only need the 'APN NAME'. To determine whether an APN is needed, reach out to your SIM card provider.
METOS stations that come with a SIM card already, do not need any further configuration.
