About the Network Scanning Methods:

  • Fixed method = only scans for the previously selected Preferred Network without trying any
    other kind.
  • System Auto = method scans for the previously selected Preferred Network and only after it fails
to connect tries the other two types of networks. If you selected GSM preferred and the system
cannot connect to a GSM network, after the timeout the system will scan for CAT-M networks and
then NB-IoT if that fails too.
  • Modem Auto = method adds a preferred network list to the modem beginning with the
previously selected Preferred Network and then the other two. It lets the modem automatically
handle network registration. This method is like a shot in the dark and heavily depends on the
modem firmware version and the networks available in the area. We do not have much confidence
in this method but it would work in the best case scenario where all three kinds of networks are
    available (GSM, CAT-M and NB-IoT)

Disabling and Enabling APN

On some networks it is not necessary to use an APN to upload data to the server. You can try

disabling APN in the modem settings and if it works, the process runs much faster. If it does not

work, you can re-enable the use of APN and the configured APN will be used.
